Programs for Children

Every Sunday, St. Stephen's has Sunday School classes for 3-8 year-olds and for 9-13 year-olds. Both classes meet during the 10:30 worship service, with children leaving the main congregation after the opening hymn and prayers and returning in time for the Eucharist. The classes are coordinated and taught by the parents, with support from our Children's Spiritual Formation staff person.

For children too young for Sunday School classes, a babysitter is available to care for them during the 10:30 service.

Sunday School classes take place in our Sunday School room, pictured below. On the left, the nursery; on the right, the little kids' sunday school space, which includes a parent-made tent with a small altar, where the children offer prayers each Sunday.
